It's going to be a rough ride out there - the wave times are alot closer than last year so it will be a bit hectic in transition too no doubt ?

I have just received age grouper wave start times from the race director as follows:


Full distance male under 40 - 7 am

Full distance male vets 40+ - 7.04 am

Full distance female - 7.07 am

Sprint and relay - 7.50am


The elite start times are:

Women's elite start - 11.30am

Men's elite start - 2.00pm


Please also note that all bikes must be collected from transition by 4.00pm - after that security will be lifted and the transition area will be open to anyone.

Bike sounds a bit crowded to me. 500 age groupers on a 5km course gives 10 metres per bike
