Hi,

Just thought I would get the ball rolling so here goes: -

I'm a 34-year-old bloke, engaged to Joanne my chief sponsor and supporter.

I train as much as I can depending on the weather and work commitments!

I have been doing triathlons now for about 10 years on and off my highlight was completing Ironman UK in 2005.

My background is one of swimming where I was a prolific breaststroke champion not much good in triathlon.

I think it's fair to say my attraction to Triathlon is the fact there is always something to do no matter what the weather conditions.

Looking forward to getting involved with Ramsey Triathlon Club.

Ramsey

I'm 27 (last week, happy birthday to me) and living in Ramsey.

I've only done a couple of sprint triathlons on the Island. They both felt like hell and so that experience has inspired me to train a little bit harder for next year.

Can't wait for club training to start. I've been speaking to a few different people and sounds like there is loads of interest from people that have never tried the sport before

Hi,

Just looking at getting into triathlon - like Ramsey i've got a strong swimming background (in breasstroke as well), although i believe i was a lot quicker than him, but lets not get into that or be too arrogant - we have enough debates about that when we bump into each other on a night out. Have some experience in running, done a few great north runs and other half marathons! Haven't done much in terms of cycling, so thats def one to work on for me! Would like to do an ironman some time in the not too distant future! Lets see if i can handle a normal triathlon first tho

Nige!

I have just been reading the threads again, hi Nige nice to have a new member. I also noticed that Ramsey said he was a PROLIFIC breastroke CHAMPION, all I remember is him turning up for training and always moaning that something was wrong or the water was cold -no change there then !!
