To ensure that everyone has recovered from the New Year / Christmas festivities, the next club cycle is scheduled for Sunday January 21st 2007. All abilities welcome, and members should meet outside the swimming pool cafe at 9am. (All riders must wear a cycle helmet)

Obviously at this time of year the above is weather dependant so please keep logging into the forum for updates.

If the weather is too bad to cycle, for those that are willing we can always do some run training in the Mooragh Park - so have your trainers at the ready. (changes will be posted the day before)

For your future information it is intended to run regular club cycles/runs every fortnight from this date.

If you wish to swim, cycle or run at any other time and fancy some company just pop it on the forum, this is the ideal way for us all to get to know each other - don't be shy.

Just in case anyone is looking for something to do next Sunday 14th January, the NAC are holding their monthly cross country run up at the Crossags farm. Sign on from 1.30pm (I think), for more details check out their website on the links.

I did this last month and it was good fun, very muddy and lots of water - lost a shoe at some point.

Not everyone is up for this, so keep your eyes on the forum, I am sure that some of the members may be going out for a cycle rather than get their feet dirty - wimps !!

Glad to hear the club training is up and running again, hope to see everyone for the club cycle on Sunday 21st Jan.

Jooles after my diabolical first cross country outing last month I think I'll give the next one a miss!

I will be entering the Peel to Douglas walk on Sunday 14th if anybody fancies a nice stroll.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is not great, very cold maybe only 6' so wrap up warm. There will a strong west north westerly wind and the odd chance of a shower. That's the bad news, the good news is we may get an odd sunny spell !!

For those brave enough we will be meeting at the Swimming Pool Cafe @ 9am. It is intended to get a reasonable speed up on the ride so that we can all keep warm. We will be aiming to get back to the cafe for cake and coffee at 11 - 11.30, or earlier for those that maybe want to do a shorter cycle ?


Just so you know, I wouldn't depend solely on my weather prediciton, if you wake up tomorrow and there is snow, obviolusy the ride will be cancelled !
